Call for Artists & Makers: Mycelium Materials Casting Workshops

Join us for a hands-on exploration into the world of mycelium materials – where biology, design, and sustainability meet. These workshops will introduce you to the fascinating process of growing and casting with mycelium, the root system of fungi, to create biodegradable, sustainable objects and structures.

You’ll learn how to prepare substrates, inoculate them with mycelium, and work with moulds to shape your own living materials. Along the way, we’ll discuss mycelium’s unique properties, its potential applications in art, architecture, design, and fashion, and how to cultivate it responsibly as a future-forward material.

We’re offering two formats:
- Beginner Introduction Workshop (2 hours) – A first step into mycelium casting. Perfect for curious newcomers, artists, and makers who want a guided introduction to the basics of working with living materials.

- In-Depth Workshop (1–2 days) – A deep dive into the full process of mycelium material casting. Working collaboratively, participants will experiment with techniques and come together to cast a larger-scale structure, gaining hands-on experience with every stage of the process.

Both workshops are ticketed, with prices to be announced soon.

If you’re an artist, maker, designer, or simply curious about sustainable materials, this is your invitation to experiment, collaborate, and grow something extraordinary together.
