Grown as a demonstration to show the power of using fungi's alchemy-like powers to transform waste materials into functional products.
Each decorative bowl was grown from the waste collected from spoon carving to celebrate it's material heritage and to challenge viewers to ponder what other waste materials could be useful to create sustainable materials.
These are now produced for The Ledbury Restaurant to serve their pastries to their guests.
The bowls have since been featured in the Audi Autumn 2019 Magazine issue alongside other novel materials that may make the systems we need for material manufacturing in the future.
